If you already know what this is, then I don’t have to explain it. I’m posting this here as a form of protest; there are limitations to free speech, yes, but you can’t exactly declare numbers to be illegal. What’s next, you want to restrict the usage of the letter “x”?
If you don’t, then go find out about it. Life’s not all about parties and getting laid.

Should I recognize them as what they are, or what they want to be?
Now, let me make this clear, I think what people want to do with their bodies is their own business. If you want to cut off your dick and sculpt a vagina out of it, or create a penis out of your clit (how do they do that, anyway?), that’s your business. I’m not gonna kiss you no matter how big your boobs get, but all the same, I would respect your decision, no matter how boneheaded and idiotic it may seem.
But suppose a guy underwent sex-change surgery to become a woman; should I refer to… that person as he (his original gender) or she?
On the surface, it looks straightforward. But to me, gender is something you’re born with, and dictated by your chromosomes. No matter what sort of surgery or hormones that you took, you’re still what you’re born to be. It makes me uncomfortable to call a guy “she”, and vice-versa. Why do I have to compromise on MY way of thinking to make room for yours? You can be whatever you want to be, but I’m sorry, I will still think of you as being of your original gender.
Is that bigotry? Or are my views justified, I wonder?
16-year olds having sex??
February 28, 2007
Completely unthinkable! Who could’ve thought that girls at the prime of their hormonal output could want to stuff some man-meat into their dirty little hoochies?
Yeah, I know, that particular reaction is so over-the-top and ridiculous. Well, I can’t help myself, seeing that big headline over in the Sun, you’d think that nubile 16-year olds engaging in some horizontal jogging will spell the end of Humanity itself.
Fine, so you have some religious and/or moral objections to premarital sex. That doesn’t really give you the free pass to act like surprised as if all Malaysians are prim, virgin-until-marriage model of moral superiority. Less hysteria, more rational thinking kplzthnxbai.
Completely pathetic. Bila Melayu nak maju?

Amry’s Guide on How to Write A Malay Song for Dummies
- write about how your girlfriend left you / how her parents won’t let her see you anymore
- whine about it. Throughout the whole album
If you still have a semblance of career after this, rinse and repeat ad nauseam.
Srsly, I’ve been listening to these sorts of songs since… forever. Can’t we seriously have a song that is not about how heartbroken you are? M. Nasir might be a pretentious pseudophilosopher, but at least he managed to show some creativity. Are we as a race that mundane? Forget Wawasan 2020, we need a new generation of artists that doesn’t suck.

Look at that girl. She’s singing about peaches; so why aren’t we singing about our foodstuffs, eh? How about injecting a little variety into our musical scene, for God’s sake?
Non-Muslims Over the Age of 21 Only?
August 10, 2006
While reading the newspaper (during a lecture, of course), I happen to find an ad for a concert sponsored by Tiger Beer. The disclaimer caught my eye; the age limit is easy enough to understand, but I wonder why it prohibits Muslims from joining in.
At first glance, it appears simple enough; since alcohol will be served (the first 500 people gets free beer), therefore Muslims aren’t allowed to attend. Fair enough, but then when we consider the fact that pretty much all nightclubs serve alcohol, and it’s not illegal for Muslims to patronise those places, therefore what makes this consert any different?
Mind you, I don’t care one way or the other about the concert (unless if someone’s giving me the tickets), but it does make the mind wonder…. will they check your IC when you get there? If a Muslim shows up anyway, will they be turned away? Will s/he get a refund for the tickets?
