Due to some sort of plumbing repairs, they shut off the mains today. Which wouldn’t be so bad, if I actually had the opportunity to resupply first; as it is, I had little to drink for eight hours now, and the thirst is starting to get to me. Ah, you never miss the small pleasures of life until you’re deprived of it.
By some miraculous event, I’m still not kicked out of university yet (here’s to massive bureaucratic oversight!), so I’m not too worried. I guess, at the end of the day, the lesson that I need to learn is that you gotta play the cards that life hands to you, rather than whine about it and drop out of the game altogether.
And I finally got roommates this week! *sigh* There goes my privacy and super-deluxe room…
p/s: unlike my colleagues in the debate club, I am not stoked about Obama winning the election. Don’t get me wrong, someone who haven’t even got a clue how email works (McCain) or a dumb broad from Alaska won’t get my vote, but the whole “Obama is our Messiah! Hallelujah!” chanting is a bit grating.
